OutdoorPAGES Clubs

Within the next few months OutdoorPAGES will be establishing Angling Clubs throughout South Africa. We have found that many of our members have the skills and capacity to perform well in a competitive environment but unfortunately they just do not know where to start. Through our many Social Club events and after many requests from our loyal member base we have decided to create our own angling clubs. Now OutdoorPAGES members can join a club and immediately fit in.

Why join an OutdoorPAGES Angling Club?

1. You have the advantage of having a communication platform available 24/7. OutdoorPAGES will serve as a medium on which all club reports, anglers performance / profiles and news will be stored and made available.

2. Our commitment to the development of the sport continues. Join a club near you to learn more about fishing (newbies) or have the opportunity to test your skills against the best this country has to offer (specialist anglers).

3. We are committed to invest in the future of anglers who perform at a provincial level (qualify for National Trials) or higher. OutdoorPAGES will sponsor bait and clothing to qualifying anglers for the relevant competitions (National and International competitions under SAFBAF). Transport will also be sponsored in whole or in part, depending on the nature of the competition. To qualify for this sponsorship you have to be a member of the OutdoorPAGES Club for longer than 12 months.

We know that many anglers cannot afford to high costs of bait and travel (without a sponsor). We believe that anglers who have the skills and commitment to perform well at National and International competitions must not be denied the opportunity to compete due to a lack of funds. Prove to us you can do it and we will make it happen for you. That is our commitment to our loyal club members!

For example: To compete at the National Carp trials at Bloemhof dam can cost from R 4000-00 per angler. Should you make the Protea team and you have to compete overseas this amount can go up to R 30 000 per angler per event, which is too expensive for most of us. Join an OutdoorPAGES club near you and we will make it possible if you qualify for the national trials / national team.

4. OutdoorPAGES Angling Club members will get a membership card (like the OutdoorPAGES VIP Card) which will immediately offer them benefits at participating dealers and service providers.

Why join the South African Carp Society?

Apart from having the peace of mind that someone is proactively lobbying for carp angling on your behalf, the SA Carp Society offers members access to exclusive venues in SA.

Some venues just aren't safe to fish anymore. Crime statistics have reached all-time highs at a number of venues. Some lakes are so polluted that you are not even allowed to go in the water. At some our specimen carp fish stocks are being wiped out by commercial netters while others are netted by poachers. At this very moment our future hangs in the balance. BUT, we say NO MORE!!!

The South African Carp Society believes that we must look after ourselves, so we are actively sourcing private venues for our members.
